Welcome!

It will be our sincere pleasure to serve you this year. Being an active member of the Post Area Chamber of Commerce brings with it a sense of satisfaction in the knowledge that you are helping to promote business prosperity in Post and Garza County.

A national study reveals that membership in a local chamber of commerce can significantly boost a business’s image among consumers. The study commissioned by ACCE, IBM, Adminstaff, Small Business Network, Inc. and Market Street Services, showed that when respondents were told that a particular small business was a member of its local chamber, they were 63 percent more likely to want to purchase goods or services from that business. This study reinforces the perception that chamber members lead businesses and lead communities.

We invite you to attend our quarterly member- sponsored membership luncheon. We meet at 12:00 noon at a location and date announced in our weekly newsletter. These meetings are fun and informal and provide the opportunity to become acquainted with other chamber members and to catch up on chamber activities. We make it a point to keep the program limited to the lunch hour so that you won’t be taken away from your business.

All of our members receive a weekly newsletter via email to keep them informed of things happening in Post and our Chamber office. If you have information that would need to be shared please contact your Chamber office at 495-3461. We are located at 131 E. Main Street and are open Mon. - Fri. 9:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.

Garza County Courthouse Memorial Plaza Project

Please join us in our efforts to complete this project by purchasing bricks for yourself, your family and your Garza County ancestors.

In honor and memory of the
Citizens of Garza County
who made C.W. Post’s dream a reality and the Garza County Veterans who keep us free. A memorial plaza has been constructed on the front lawn of Garza County Courthouse using the original brick from the streets of the City of Post. The plaza is constructed in 4 sections. The north side plaza will contain bricks with the names of citizens from it’s past and present who have made Post & Garza County a success. The south side plaza has been reserved for bricks honoring Garza County Veterans. The south area by the courthouse door is reserved for elected officials who have served Garza County and the City of Post. The north area by the courthouse door has been filled with bricks with the names of businesses & organizations in Post and Garza County.
