Post, the county seat of Garza County, was established in 1907 by cereal magnate C.W. Post.  It is one of the most beautiful areas in West Texas, nestled in the “caprock” of the Llano Estacado.  Post is a city with strong historical values but also rich in cultural activities and tourist attractions.

and history unsurpassed by any other city in West Texas.  Post also has two National Register Historical Sites and thirty Historical Markers.

The Garza Theatre provides live drama for West Texas, producing eight plays a year.  Historical Main Street houses many unique shops and the beautiful streetscape is a walk back to the past with street lamps, trees, park benches and plazas.

Ragtown Gospel Theater
, a 400 seat theater, is designed to look like a street in old Jerusalem. It features southern gospel music and a series of plays focusing on apostles and individuals who had direct contact with Jesus during his time on earth.
